Mothers’ Work
A workshop for women to explore the motherhood transition - It’s impact on their life and career
Objectives:
To provide reassurance that the physical, logistical and emotional challenges that arise from juggling motherhood and a career are extremely common, and to provide access to a supportive community who can share ideas for managing this phase of life.
To create a safe and nurturing space for women to reflect on their aspirations and ambitions. To enable them to articulate what they want for themselves and their families and to explore ways to act on them.
To help participants erode feelings of being stuck, trapped or anxious through exposure to other women’s stories and by exercises designed to nurture alternative ideas and mindsets.
Who is it for?
Women who feel anxious or overwhelmed trying to juggle everything in their lives and want to make changes but don’t know where to start.
Those returning to paid work, from maternity leave, for the first time, who would like to anticipate their new reality and be able to introduce strategies to make their transition as smooth as possible.
Women who don't want to return to paid work but are feeling unsure or conflicted.
Women looking to change direction and create a flexible career but aren’t sure where to start.
Mothers struggling with self-confidence and/or challenges around their sense of identity and purpose since having children.
